How NOT to Do It

I touched on this issue briefly on my personal blog, but I would like to talk about it a little bit here as well.

If you are trying to lose weight, or even if you are merely trying not to be obscenely bloated, I am going to recommend not eating an entire bag of Cheddar Chex Mix in a single sitting.

Really you shouldn't polish one of these bad boys off in an entire day.

Holy Sodium, Batman!

It turns out that Chex Mix is one of my trigger foods. You know, you start eating it and you can't stop?

(My other trigger foods? Doritos, Tootsie Rolls, bacon, cheese and crackers, Oreos, french fries, pizza, brownies, cheetohs... the list goes on an on).

I know what I have to do. I cannot have this food in my house anymore. It IS that simple.

And take it from me. It tasted good while it lasted, but I feel like a pile a shit right about now, mentally and physically.

Now, if you will excuse me, I am off to drink my 30th glass of water this afternoon. I can't imagine why I am so thirsty.

I learned not to keep those kinds of foods in my house years ago. Fritos, Chex Mix, GS Cookies (current problem, damn you thin mints!!), any type of potato chip or cookie, etc.

My current problem is I'm working on a proposal at work, and these guys seriously have an entire counter covered with tempting junk food. Ok, so there's a bag of apples, but also boxes of donuts, crates of chips, cookies, Reese's eggs, gummy fruit, little brownies, chocolates... I could keep going. I'm trying my best not to gorge, but the willpower is weakening. I need to wear a bathing suit in 3 weeks, AAAAAHHHH.

Yesterday? Movie popcorn. About did me in. Couldn't drink enough water to get it out of my system and I think I'm still suffering. LOL

After 2 years of absolutely no amount of soy/milk/eggs/wheat due to my son's allergies and me breastfeeding, I bought some KrispyKreme glazed donuts... I polished off the whole box. Thought my husband ate the last one and yelled at him, only to find out I was the culprit! Dear daughter now has the allergies and I'm back on said diet... no telling what I'll vacuum up once I regain some food freedom.

Okay. Don't freak out, I am NOT a blogger stalker. Okay, I am. But I just wanted to say that my BFF and I are battling the bulge too. So feel free to visit us if you want to see what real losers look like (www.thetoofatties.blogspot.com)
