Day 2: No change.
I did fairly well on day 1.
And by fairly well I mean I only ate one cookie and I only drank a glass and a half of wine.
That isn't all I ate all day. I also had fruit and tuna and a HUGE salad for dinner.
I also did 20 minutes on my elliptical.
And when I weighed myself this morning there was no change.
And so far I am okay with that.
But tomorrow morning there had better be a change because today I am eating even better, and I am hungry.

Step away from the scale!!
I have to stick to my once-a-week rule. If I weigh myself mid-week, weird things happen and I freak out. One time it showed I was up a pound and a half and I almost lost my shit. By the time my actual weigh-in rolled around, I was down a pound. And hey, if you lose a pound in a week, which is respectable, how long is it going to take the scale to show it?
:-)
I didn't weigh myself today, but I'm still pretty sure that I must be down 10 or 12 pounds. This is based on my hunger level and desire for ice cream.
Oh the munchies have hit hard today. I am proud that I have not had any chocolate! (Although, the day ain't over yet...)
I took a brisk walk this morning and another one tonight after the kids passed out (thank you, flu shot). It was a beautiful evening and a great walk with even a little run thrown in. Then I got stopped by a neighbor and talked for 30 minutes ... how many calories does that burn?
Oh well.
Sounds like you're on the right track.
Your blog is interesting. It was nice going through your blog. keep it up the good work. Cheers :)
Can I still join? I just heard about this yesterday & I can use the motivation. If so my start weight is 171.5.
Good workout at Jazzercise last night, but not healthy eating so far today. Esther's class did a sorting exercise yesterday on "growing food" and "sometimes food." Perhaps I should take a closer look !
I do Weight Watchers, so I just want to recommend you maybe only weigh yourself once a week during the losing phase. There are just way too many fluctuations that can derail your day, otherwise.
And for something that could perhaps help with the issues of body image, could I recommend a book that helps people (let's face it, mostly women!) accept the bodies they have? It's "Love Your Body, Love Your Life." I'm not at all saying you shouldn't lose weight! Good health is important. But this will help you say goodbye to feelings of inadequacy over yourself and your body. She's got a 5-step process, No. 4 of which is "befriend your body."
Good luck!
By the way, the comment about weight loss based on "desire for ice cream" made me laugh. And sadly, it's made me want some ice cream...
