Happy Valentine's Day!

So this is what Valentine's Day looked like at our house...

And I only ate half of those two pieces of candy that you see in the video which are half-eaten.  I'd like to think this was my way of not being half-assed about my commitment to lose some El Bees.

Regardless of whether you observed the holiday, weekends are unstructured which usually pose challenges regarding food choices. I tend to choose Chinese food. Le Sigh.

On a positive note, those PJ's were a Chanukkah gift from the kids and they are definitely less tight than when I first put them on in December!

What about you? How did your weekend go?

My weekend was kinda like any other weekend. We ate out with the kids one day. I didn't get any chocolates or anything for Valentine's Day because Aaron and I made the choice to not get anything for each other this year. He cooked an Indian meal for us last night.

And thanks to Snowpocalypse part 3 happening right now, our late Valentine's Day dinner and a movie is being scrapped because our babysitter can't get here.

So I'm hoping for a loss this week!

I gorged like a pig on the expensive chocolate-store chocolates my husband brought ("I know this isn't the best idea with your contest but I knew you loved them.") Whatever, it's once a year. I weighed myself today and I am down 10 lbs from the beginning of the contest only by making changes in my eating. If you have not yet read the "Eat This Not That" books, I highly recommend taking a look! I have been checking them out of the library and taking notes b/c I am a cheapskate, but it would be great to have them to take shopping. Eye-opening stuff and many easy changes anyone could make fairly painlessly.

So, it's pretty slow going for me, but it is going. I need to get more active and more serious about losing (like I was the first week or two when I exercised), but I am ok with slow for now and not beating myself up.

I totally forgot to weigh in this week. I'm terrible.
